Counselling, Sexual Education, Queer and Gender Affirming Care
Counselling for Individuals, Adults, Youth, and Kids
In therapy various forms of communication are present. Some may fit in one moment while others will not. There is a fluidity to it, and every person has a voice, something inside of them, that will come out uniquely from the next person and can be a force of healing for themselves.
Sarah is non-judgemental, compassionate, and creative in her counselling approach. She understands that the support each person seeks is unique and personal. Sarah is always working towards providing queer and gender-affirming care and applying anti-oppressive, harm reduction, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspectives. She may also draw from Narrative, DBT, Intersectional Feminism, and Somatic approaches in her sessions. Sarah is now able to work alongside people to complete hormone readiness assessments.
Sarah views counselling as a collaborative process and believes in each person’s natural ability to gravitate towards change. She recognizes that connecting authentically through a counselling relationship in a safe and inclusive environment is essential to healing.
At times, just the space to speak, to be heard, to be seen and validated, is what it takes to experience a sense of belonging; belonging to a family, to a community, to society, to oneself.
